Construction Commences on Niger's 1MW PV and Energy Storage Project RICH PV Empowers Local Energy Transition

Local time recently, the 1MW photovoltaic (PV) + 2MWh energy storage project in Niger broke ground smoothly at the China-Niger Industrial Park in the country. Adopting a coordinated "PV + storage" model and equipped with advanced energy storage systems and energy management equipment, the project is provided with a one-stop turnkey solution by Chinese enterprise RICH PV, covering the entire process of project design, equipment integration, construction, and subsequent operation and maintenance.

A person in charge of construction from RICH PV stated that the team will rely on its experience in constructing dozens of PV and energy storage projects in Africa, fully combine the local climatic conditions and energy demands of Niger, optimize the layout of PV modules and the configuration of energy storage capacity, and ensure that the system can achieve efficient collection, storage and stable output of photovoltaic power, effectively avoiding the power supply risks caused by the intermittency and volatility of solar energy.

Upon completion, the PV project is expected to generate more than 1.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, meeting the power needs of small commercial facilities in the industrial park. It will upgrade the power supply duration from the current short-term supply to all-weather stable power supply, while significantly reducing the consumption of diesel power generation and cutting a large amount of carbon dioxide emissions each year, thus boosting the local green and sustainable development.
